"The Hoyle family are wonderful hosts. Friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with them, eating fresh fruit from their apple tree and were made to feel like one of the family as the dogs welcomed us home each evening. Alba Cottage has everything you need. The room is bright and airy with beautiful picture window view of the rising sun each morning. The shower and kitchenette are clean and well stocked. The fresh coffee is an extra special touch!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!" Monica & Andrew, May 2017

"Great accommodation kind and friendly hosts everything you need for as long as you need to stay. Lovely friendly animals very clean and tidy unit. We would recommend this for sure. Would use again if we are in the area. Lots of things to do in the area not too far away. Beautiful part of NZ."  Sheila and Mick Fogg, Feb 17

"My family and I spent a week in the cottage and it was perfect for the three of us. My daughter had the time of her life pampering all the well behaved animals. Thank you Sue for allowing our daughter to follow you around as you tended to the animals. She learnt quite a lot and was very keen to educate us!  The location of the property is very handy to Lake Karapiro which was the main purpose of our stay. Leamington shops with its cafes, takeaways and local grocery store was an added bonus. The hospitality of Mark, Sue and Sam was 10/10 - I can't thank you enough. We felt so at home and slept soundly. If you love animals, tranquil surroundings and you're passing through Cambridge and wanting a few days away from a busy life, this is most certainly the place for you. Alba Cottage is definitely on our "Revisit List". Tua, Philippa & Trinity, January 2016

"Back again for our 4th visit from the UK. Once again we had a wonderful relaxing time at Alba. Mark, Sue and Sam were most welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed visiting the animals each morning. We can thoroughly recommend staying at Alba."  Oscar & Wendy (UK) Nov 2015

"A gorgeous place to stay, you'll be welcomed by the three big friendly dogs and comical 'car boot stowaway' Tinker. Laid back hosts Sue & Mark let you forget you're a guest yet provide all one needs for a comfy stay. From the pure rain h2o to the fresh eggs.. I was smitten & reluctant to return to town. A massive thanks to hosts both human & animal for a much needed rural break."  Anna, Oct 2015

"This is our 3rd three day visit from the UK to Alba and again we found it very relaxing. We particularly enjoyed walking around each morning and evening to greeting the animals and especially the antics of the dogs Breea(?) Dillon and Coll. Mark Sue and Sam are perfect hosts and Sam's biscuits were delicious."   Kind regards Oscar and Wendy, UK

"Thanks Mark and Sue for a lovely short break at your cottage. We really enjoyed the relaxed feel of staying on your small farm, with the various animals about and the deck in the afternoon sun overlooking your kitchen garden. Thank you for the tips on places to visit nearby and your hospitality which certainly made us feel very welcome."  Kristelle & Luke, Bundoora, Australia

"We recently spent four nights at Alba Cottage and would encourage anyone wanting a warm welcome and a comfortable, peaceful stay in this beautiful part of the country to book a few nights here. We very much enjoyed sharing a meal with our hosts, playing catch with the dogs, taking pictures of all the animals and generally relaxing for a few days. The accomodation is also so handy to visit so many local attractions that it makes a perfect base to explore the area. Thank you Sue, Mark and Sam for the hospitality and an enjoyable break!"   Mark & Maria, Tauranga

"Have stayed twice and found Alba very comfortable. Mark, Sue and Sam are perfect hosts. The animals have very much enhanced our stays."    Oscar & Wendy, UK
